CREATOR BLESS THE UNDERGROUND

“Creator bless the underground.” as a phrase of gratitude, comes from the reflections about what artists’ honest expressions have done for those of us who listen and appreciate. How, when every artist takes that vulnerable step of showcasing their heart, the expression in turn heals those of us who appreciate it in the same way that it does for the artist. Many of these efforts are often at odds with aspects of profit and grander capitalism, but as I create my own art, I recognize that some of these efforts may occupy an honesty that some individuals or powers just aren’t capable of fully appreciating, let alone understanding yet. However, I find it imperative to still try and create the things that I’m seeing in my head and dreaming in my heart. Maybe it’ll give back some of that same feeling and good energy that I received from listening to my favorite artists as a kid and now in adulthood…. Whatever the case, I feel that this is my way of saying back, “Creator, bless this underground.”
